Navigating the UK Immigration Landscape: Supporting Short-term Mobility to the UK: the webinar will be held on 5 December 2022 1:30-2:30 pm (UK time). The webinar will give attendee’s general information on the available visa routes to support short-term mobility to the UK, such as taking part in research trips, placements, secondments, meetings, and other short visits.
This webinar is aimed at research support staff, including from HR and immigration teams, as well as researchers involved in Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) who will be sending researchers and staff to the UK, or will be receiving non-UK based researchers and staff as part of a funded project. The event is not designed to give immigration advice to individuals. Any individual requiring specific immigration advice must use an adviser approved through the Office of Immigration Services (OISC) or consult their internal HR or immigration team.

This event is organised by the UK Research Office (UKRO), in collaboration with the UKRI Global Mobility Team.
Who is it for?
The webinar is for research support staff, including from HR and immigration teams, as well as researchers involved in MSCA Doctoral Networks, COFUND, Staff Exchanges and Postdoctoral Fellowships, who will be sending researchers and staff to the UK, or will be receiving non-UK based researchers and staff for secondments, research trips, placements and other short periods of time. The event will be of relevance to those involved in projects funded under Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe.

This webinar will be delivered using the ‘Zoom’ online video conference facility. No prior purchasing of software is necessary, but prior registration is mandatory. Please note that there will be scope to test the Zoom software prior to joining the webinar itself.
