Palacký University (UP) has made courses, opportunities and summer schools available for this spring and summer. In the coming months, UPOL will offer the following:

Workshop:

• Aurora Creative Writing Workshop Olomouc (organized by UEA & UP)
  • This creative writing workshop is hosted at Palacky University Olomouc and with courses taught by the renowned creative writing department of UEA.
    • 19 – 26 May 2023
    • In-person at Palacky University Olomouc
    • 4 ECTS Credits

Blended Intensive Programs: 

• Olomouc Linguistics Colloquium
  • The Olomouc Linguistics Colloquium (Olinco) is a general linguistics conference held biannually at Palacký University Olomouc, Czech Republic.
    • 8 – 10 June 2023
    • Waived Participation Fee for BIP-Funded participants
      • Standard Participation Fee EUR 60
      • Consider funding participation using your institution’s funding for Blended Intensive Programmes.

Summer Schools:

• Summer Law School: Human Rights Legal Clinic
  • The Summer Law School will allow you to participate in a Human Rights Policy Legal Clinic, focusing on understanding the importance and latest developments in the field of international Human Rights law. 
    • 31 July – 4 August 2023
    • 5 ECTS Credits
    • Waived Tuition Fee
      • A limited number of free spots are available for Aurora Participants (regular fee: EUR 490).
      • Aurora Participants can pay an optional fee of EUR 180 to have catered lunch and refreshments throughout the course.

• Summer School of Slavonic Studies
  • The 37^th edition of this established language school offers Czech Course from beginner to advanced levels (A0, B2, C1) in two-week and four-week formats.
    • 15 July – 13 August 2023
    • Discounted Tuition Fee for Aurora Students:
      • Students: 14.000 CZK (4 weeks), 7.000 CZK (2 weeks)
      • Academics & Staff: 18.000 CZK (4 weeks), 9.000 CZK (2 weeks)

• Summer School Remote Ethnography 
  •  This summer school aims to connect the topic of remote ethnography to Open Source Research, remote sensing, interviewing, oral history, source criticism and decolonial theory.
    • 31 July – 4 August 2023
    • 3 ECTS Credits

• International Summer School of Refugee Law and Rights
  • The 10th International Summer School in Refugee Law and Rights will be hosted at Palacky University and organized together V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, focussing on topics relating to mass displacement in Ukraine.  
    • Late Augusts (exact date TBC soon)
    • 3 ECTS Credits
    • Waived Tuition Fee
      • A limited number of free spots are available for Aurora Participants (regular fee: EUR 500)
